2024 Midland Nutcracker Auditions

Audition Registration

Open to boys & girls Ages 9-18 with at least two years of ballet training, no pointe experience is required.

Online registration is now closed.

Registration fee at the door – $20
(exact cash or check ONLY)

*If casted, there will be an additional $75 participation fee per dancer to cover shoes, tights, and costuming.

Weekly SUNDAY rehearsals with Sandra Black, local instructor, September thru November, schedule TBD 

 

This traditional holiday classic features: 

  • – Set and production design by Chris Van Allsburg and Eugene Lee and choreography by Val Caniparoli
  • – Company dancers of the Grand Rapids Ballet 
  • – Tchaikovsky’s timeless score performed by Midland Symphony Orchestra 
  • – Selected children dancers from the Mid Michigan area 

Four performances at Midland Center for the Arts Auditorium

  • • Friday, December 6 at 8:00 p.m.
  • • Saturday, December 7 at 2:00 p.m. & 8:00 p.m.
  • • Sunday, December 9 at 2 p.m.

Tech/dress rehearsals at Midland Center for the Arts Auditorium

  • • December 4 & 5 – Time TDB
