Whom do you most admire and why?

My grandmother. She will always be my number one example of selflessness: investing herself fully into whatever she did and the people in her life, with so little concern for herself. I can only hope to one day come close to who she was.

What excites you creatively?

Watching others create beauty, both in the ballet studio and in other artistic formats. Passion is contagious, and I love that.

What profession, other than your own, would you like to attempt?

I’m drawn to both sciences of the body and the mind, so maybe physical therapy or psychology. As long as the job was very relational and could be made personal between myself and who I worked with, I think I would enjoy it.

What is the best piece of dance advice you’ve ever received?

You’re only ever going to get out of it what you put into it.

What are your favorite roles?

  • • Linnet, The Happy Prince & Other Wilde Tales, choreography by Penny Saunders (2018)
  • Black and White, choreography by Mário Radačovský (2017)
  • Serenade, choreography by George Balanchine (2016)
