Megan was born in Charleston, South Carolina and trained with Boris Chepelev and Janna Kirova in Florida, and at the Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington, DC. Throughout her training, she performed a number of soloist and principal roles and had the opportunity to perform at events such as the Horatio Alger Awards Ceremony, International Children’s Festival, and the National Society of Arts and Letters Gala. After graduating from the Kirov Academy in 2011, she joined San Francisco Ballet as an apprentice, and was promoted to Corps de Ballet for three years. Her repertoire there included featured roles in Helgi Tomasson’s Nutcracker, John Cranko’s Onegin, Serge Lifar’s Suite En Blanc, Yuri Possokhov’s Firebird, and she has worked with choreographers including Wayne McGregor, Christopher Wheeldon, Liam Scarlett, and Val Caniparoli. In 2015, she performed as the Snow Queen and Sugar Plum fairy in The Nutcrackers as a guest artist.
