Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website of Grand Rapids
Ballet, a Michigan nonprofit corporation and tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the
Internal Revenue Code (“Grand Rapids Ballet,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), located at
https://grballet.com/ and https://grballet.com/grbs/ (individually and collectively, the “Site”).
By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not
use the Site.
1. Use of the Site
You may use the Site for lawful purposes only, including browsing information about our performances,
programs, and school/academy, purchasing tickets, making donations, purchasing merchandise, and
registering for classes or programs. You agree not to use the Site in any way that could damage, disable,
overburden, or impair the Site, or interfere with any other party’s use of the Site.
2. Tickets, Donations, School Registration and Merchandise
Purchased Through Third-Party Platforms
Certain transactions on or linked from the Site are processed through third-party platforms rather than
directly by Grand Rapids Ballet, including, without limitation:
- Ticket purchases, which may be processed through Ticketmaster or another third-party ticketing
provider. - Donations, which may be processed and recorded using a third-party donor management and
payment platform (such as Blackbaud/Raiser’s Edge). - Merchandise and boutique purchases, which may be processed through Square or another third-
party e-commerce or payment platform. - School registration and enrollment which may be processed through a third-party platform (such
as Active Network).
When you use a third-party platform linked from or integrated with the Site, you are also subject to that
provider’s own terms of service, privacy policy, and refund or exchange policies, which govern that
transaction. Grand Rapids Ballet is not a party to, and is not responsible for, the terms, performance,
errors, or security practices of any third-party platform. Any dispute regarding a transaction processed by
a third party should be directed first to that provider, and you may also contact us using the information in
Section 10 for assistance.
3. Donations and Tax-Deductibility
Grand Rapids Ballet is recognized as exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the
Internal Revenue Code, and donations may be tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. We will
issue acknowledgment of donations in accordance with applicable IRS requirements. Donors should
consult their own tax advisor regarding the deductibility of a particular contribution. Grand Rapids Ballet’s
taxpayer identification number (TIN/EIN) is 38-2026127.
4. Refunds and Exchanges
Refund, exchange, and cancellation policies for tickets, classes, and merchandise are set by Grand
Rapids Ballet and/or the applicable third-party platform and may vary by event, program, or product.
Donations are generally non-refundable except as required by law or at our discretion.
5. School and Academy Registration
Registration for Grand Rapids Ballet school or academy programs may require additional agreements,
including liability waivers, medical/emergency contact information, and program-specific policies, which
will be provided at the time of registration and which supplement these Terms. A parent or legal guardian
must complete registration on behalf of a minor student.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on the Site, including text, graphics, logos, images, choreography descriptions, and other
materials (the “Content”), is owned by or licensed to Grand Rapids Ballet and is protected by copyright,
trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may view and print Content for personal, non-
commercial use only. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, publicly display, or create derivative
works from the Content without our prior written permission.
7. User Conduct
You agree not to: (a) violate any applicable law or regulation in connection with your use of the Site; (b)
upload or transmit any material that is unlawful, defamatory, or infringes the rights of others; (c) attempt to
gain unauthorized access to the Site, other users, accounts, or any connected systems; or (d) use any
automated means to access or scrape the Site without our prior written consent.
8. Third-Party Links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites or platforms that are not owned or controlled by Grand
Rapids Ballet, including Ticketmaster and other partners described above. We are not responsible for the
content, policies, or practices of any third-party site. Inclusion of a link does not imply our endorsement.
9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The Site and its Content are provided “as is”and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or
implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Grand Rapids Ballet does not warrant that the Site will be
uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Grand Rapids Ballet and its
directors, officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special,
consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Site or any transaction
conducted through a third-party platform linked to the Site.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict of law
principles, and any dispute arising under these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the
state or federal courts located in Kent County, Michigan.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The "Effective Date" above indicates when the Terms were
last updated. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised
Terms.
