Patricia Barker presents Olivier Wevers’

A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Choreographer Olivier Wevers teams up with critically acclaimed lighting designer Michael Mazzola to create a 21st century version of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” told through the eyes of a young Nick Bottom. In the work, Young Nick, the little boy over whom the royal fairy couple quarrels, is a changeling with no lines. The ballet takes place in Young Nick’s mind as he dreams of becoming an adult and running for president. Across the arc of the ballet, Nick Bottom’s character grows and the audience watches how his experiences of being bullied, reading books, and seeking love, stimulate his imagination and come to life in a dream.

cheeky and funny and poignant at the same time.

Written & Forgotten

Choreographer- Annabelle Lopez Ochoa

WRITTEN & FORGOTTEN is an exploration on returning to the long-time memories of childhood. How much gets distorted through the eyes of youth and innocence? To read more about Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, click here…

Slight

Choreographer- Penny Saunders

Slight is a study in illumination, intercepting light as it flickers and glows, creating shadows and shapes produced by bodies coming between rays of light. The outcome is an all-encompassing sensation that the whole stage is moving, breathing, and living. To read more about Penny Saunders, click here…

The Envelope

Choreographer- David Parsons

Performing in Seattle for the first time, the Envelope is a social commentary about loss of identity and individuality in quasi-efficient and highly ordered social structures such as a contemporary office environment. Whatever valuable content the envelope conceals, its delivery is a complex and convoluted journey fraught with questions of authority, accountability, risk and reward. Beethoven’s 5th

Choreographer- Mario Radacovsky

Beethoven’s 5th Symphony is the masterwork of a genius. Radacovsky’s choreography captures the sheer force of Beethoven’s music. Strikingly dramatic with superb interpretation, Radacovsky brings this brilliant Symphony alive full of force and fate. To read more about Mario Radacovsky, click here…
