New this year, tickets to Clara’s Nutcracker Party are available without purchasing tickets to The Nutcracker production. This is perfect for families with young children who want to experience the magic of The Nutcracker in a shorter, more accessible format without committing to the full performance.
At Clara’s Nutcracker Party, your children will enjoy arts and crafts, a reading of the classic Nutcracker tale, and a special Grand Rapids Ballet School performance—all topped off with a delicious brunch that will delight kids and adults.

Grand Rapids Ballet is excited to once again host Clara’s Nutcracker Party—a one-of-a-kind holiday celebration designed just for kids! Your child will step into a magical world at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel, where they’ll meet their favorite characters from The Nutcracker in a fun and festive setting. This unforgettable holiday experience includes:
• A creative arts and crafts activity
• A delicious brunch with festive desserts and mimosas for adults (21+)
• A reading of The Nutcracker story
• A live performance by Grand Rapids Ballet School
After Clara’s Nutcracker Party, guests are invited to join us next door at DeVos Performance Hall for a matinee performance of The Nutcracker.

- • 11 a.m. – Arrive at the ballroom as registration begins
- • 11-11:30 a.m. – Photos and crafts
- • 11:45 a.m. – A live program featuring GRBS Jr. Company
- • 12:30 p.m – Brunch
- • 1:30 p.m. – Depart for DeVos Performance Hall
- • 2 p.m. – Attend the matinee performance of The Nutcracker

Tickets to Clara’s Nutcracker Party are $75 per person. If you would like to add on a ticket to the matinee performance of The Nutcracker after the party, the final cost per person will range depending on the seats selected within DeVos Performance Hall.
