Grand Rapids Ballet returns with George Balanchine‘s ’Rubies’ this weekend
“Rubies for Valentine’s Day” opened last week, and the company returns to its Wege Theatre for three more performances of the repertory program with George Balanchine’s “Rubies” from his full-length ballet, “Jewels.”
The show of three short works also includes Jose Limon’s “The Moor’s Pavane,” a mid -20th century classic of American modern dance; and Mario Radacovsky’s “Bolero” by the contemporary Slovakian choreographer in his third collaboriation with Grand Rapids Ballet.
