Why Grand Rapids Ballet’s retiring Stephen Sanford spent 14 seasons with company
Grand Rapids Ballet’s Stephen Sanford has portrayed handsome princes as well as evil villains on stage.
In May, he’ll star in the title role in the world premiere of “Beethoven” to end the company’s 43rd season with a new ballet by choreographer Mario Radacovsky.
That will be Sanford’s farewell after 14 seasons with the company.
